Board of Directors and Executives

Richard "Larry" L. Chatfield - Chief Executive Officer, Director and Co-Founder
Prior to co-founding Renal Ventures in 1998, Mr. Chatfield was a Co-Founder and Vice President of Development for QualiCenters, Inc. which he helped grow into one of the ten largest dialysis providers in the country before its sale to Fresenius Medical Care in 1997. From 1974 to 1991, Mr. Chatfield’s professional experience included diverse sales and marketing roles with COBE Laboratories, Inc. Mr. Chatfield serves on the Board of several charitable organizations.

Jerrold L. Glick - Secretary/Treasurer, Director and Co-Founder
Mr. Glick was a Founder and Chairman of American Medical Laboratories, Inc. and a Founder and former Director and Chief Executive Officer of Telik, Inc., a San Francisco-based biotechnology company. He is a former Director of Republic Financial Corporation and a Founder and Director of Urban Ventures, LLC, a real estate development company. Mr. Glick has extensive healthcare startup experience with QualiCenters, Inc., Telik, Inc. and National Health Laboratories, Inc., among others.

Robert M. Collins - Chairman, Director and Co-Founder
Formerly, Mr. Collins was President and CEO of COBE Laboratories, Inc. until it was sold to Gambro, Inc. in 1990. He directed the development of COBE into a worldwide organization that manufactured and distributed medical specialty products around the world. Mr. Collins has remained active in the health care field as a Director of Denver Biomedical, Inc. and Eleanor Roosevelt Research Institute. He has served on the Boards of St. Joseph’s Hospital, Gelman Scientfic, St. Anthony’s Hospital, and QualiCenters, Inc.

Robert E. Hamilton - Director and Co-Founder
Mr. Hamilton is a veteran of the dialysis industry having begun his career with Cobe Laboratories, Inc. in 1981 in sales in the southeast. From 1989 to 1995 he served as West Coast Sales Manager in Denver for COBE/Gambro. He was then Vice President of Development with QualiCenters, Inc. until their sale in 1997. Mr. Hamilton was a Founder of Renal Ventures and has remained active in the dialysis industry in development and sales positions.

Thomas F. Parker III, MD - Chief Medical Officer, Sr. Vice President, and Chair of Quality Committee
A founding member of Dallas Nephrology Associates (DNA), in 1974, one of the largest nephrology groups (70+ nephrologists) in the United States, becoming the Medical Director, one of the first outpatient hemodialysis facilities in the U.S.  He continues to as Clinical Professor at Uni. of TX. Southwestern School of Medicine and Teaching Staff at Baylor University Medical Center.  He developed the Dallas Transplant Institute, one of the largest and most advanced renal transplantation facilities in the US.  Yet, his greatest contributions has been in dialysis, publishing well over 100 papers focused on prescription and delivery of dialysis, the quality of care, including its shortcomings. In 2009, he was invited by Harvard Medical School to give a 4 day conference on the accomplishments of taking care of patients with chronic kidney disease and to further improve outcomes.   He continues to be actively involved in lectureships, visiting professorships and consulting, nationally and internationally.

He has been nominated for and given numerous awards for his outstanding contributions, having received the most prestigious acknowledgement given by the National Kidney Foundation: Physician of the Year.  He is the 2009 recipient of the Medal of Excellence Award given annually to one physician by the American Association of Kidney Patients.

He is the Chief Medical Officer and heads the Medical Council, composed of RV nephrologists who support the quality programs.  

Patricia DiGiovanni, MS, RN, CNN - Chief Operating Officer
Ms. DiGiovanni joined Renal Ventures in 1999 and oversees all clinical operations. She has been active in Nephrology Nursing for over twenty years in hospital-based programs and free-standing clinics, acting in various managerial capacities including: Director of Nursing, Critical Care Director, and Administrative Director. In addition to her work in the clinical setting, Ms. DiGiovanni served as a member of the Trans-Atlantic Renal Council Medical Review Board, ANNA North Jersey Chapter President, and as an Officer in the New Jersey Renal Administrator’s Association. Ms. DiGiovanni has been certified as a Nephrology Nurse since 1990.

Daniel T. May - Chief Financial Officer
Mr. May joined Renal Ventures in 2007. Prior to this, Mr. May was Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration / Chief Financial Officer of the Denver Newspaper Agency and a Corporate Finance Partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Mr. May has extensive experience in financial management, mergers and acquisitions, financing and process control and development. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Financial Executives Institute. Mr. May presently serves as a Director of Craig Hospital in Denver and the Downtown Denver Partnership.

Ellen R. Davis, CPA, Vice President of Strategic Services and Co-Founder
Since Renal Ventures’ inception, Ms. Davis has been instrumental in the growth of the company, serving in various management roles. Her professional experience includes both public accounting firms and private corporations encompassing audit, tax, and general accounting. In addition, Ms. Davis has participated in system consulting engagements within the healthcare and insurance industries. Ms. Davis is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She is Treasurer of the The Kidney Care Council (KCC), a nonprofit national health care association based in Washington, D.C. and comprised of fourteen of the leading kidney dialysis provider companies in the United States.

 

Michael P. Glinsky - President and CEO of RV Infusion Partners, LLC
Mr. Glinsky joined the Board of Directors of Renal Ventures Management Corporation in 2007. He became President and CEO of RV Infusion Partners, LLC in 2009. He formerly served as Advisor and Managing Director of Glass Lewis and Company, an investment research and global proxy advisory and voting services firm. Mr. Glinsky was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of North Point Communications Group, Inc. and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of US West Inc., a Fortune 500 Company. He presently serves on the Board of Trustees of Regis University and the University of Scranton and on the Board of Directors of the Colorado Haiti Project. Mr. Glinsky has extensive experience in start-up companies, reorganization, divestiture, and acquisitions.
